Fe en tiempos de encierro

En estos tiempo debemos confirnarnos a nuestras casas. Hasta ahora, este confinamiento (encierro) ha sido de manera voluntaria. Esto me hizo refelxionar en los encierros que tuvo que pasar nuestro hermano Pablo… leamos Hechos 16 (sucedió en Filipos, durante su segundo viaje misionero, Pablo expulsa un espíritu demoníaco de una esclava. Sin embargo, sus maestros, que se habían estado ganando la vida con los poderes espirituales de la mujer, se enojan y agitan a toda la ciudad contra él y Silas):

23 Después de haberles azotado mucho, los echaron en la cárcel, mandando al carcelero que los guardase con seguridad. 24 El cual, recibido este mandato, los metió en el calabozo de más adentro, y les aseguró los pies en el cepo. 25 Pero a medianoche, orando Pablo y Silas, cantaban himnos a Dios; y los presos los oían.

Los judíos de Asia, que odian a Pablo, lo ven en el templo de Jerusalén y creen (erróneamente) que está trayendo gentiles no convertidos a una parte del área del templo donde estaba prohibido. Lo acusan en voz alta de haber actuado mal y provocan disturbios contra él. Cuando comienzan a golpearlo, aparece el ejército romano y le salva la vida- Hechos 21:

30 Así que toda la ciudad se conmovió, y se agolpó el pueblo; y apoderándose de Pablo, le arrastraron fuera del templo, e inmediatamente cerraron las puertas. 31 Y procurando ellos matarle, se le avisó al tribuno de la compañía, que toda la ciudad de Jerusalén estaba alborotada. 32 Este, tomando luego soldados y centuriones, corrió a ellos. Y cuando ellos vieron al tribuno y a los soldados, dejaron de golpear a Pablo.

Para la seguridad de Pablo, 200 soldados romanos lo llevan de noche a Cesarea (es en Cesarea donde reside el gobernador Félix y donde se puede escuchar el juicio contra el apóstol). Aunque Félix cree que es inocente, lo mantiene en prisión por más de dos años con la esperanza de que alguien le ofrezca un soborno para liberarlo (Hechos 24:26 – 27). Pablo finalmente es enviado a Roma en barco para que César escuche su caso.

27 Pero al cabo de dos años recibió Félix por sucesor a Porcio Festo; y queriendo Félix congraciarse con los judíos, dejó preso a Pablo. Y permaneció encarcelado / en arresto domiciliario hasta su muerte.

Antes de sus encierros (no voluntarios, como el nuestro); Pablo fue perseguido, arrastrado, azotado, encadenado, golpeado y amenazado de muerte.  2ª Cor. 11:23-28.

Nuestro ‘encierro’ actual es con luz, una cama, agua para tomar y bañarnos, libertad de movernos dentro de casa , etc. A Pablo lo encerraron ‘en el calabozo de más adentro’, seguramente el más oscuro, húmedo, maloliente y desagradable en general. Su respuesta? Orar y Alabar!  ¿Cuál habría sido tu actitud/respuesta ante esta situación de haber estado en el lugar de Pablo?

Pablo sabía en quién había creído (Fe). Sabía que TODO lo que sucediera en y con su vida se debía a un propósito establecido por Dios (Ef. 1:11; Job 1:22).

¿Cuál es tu actitud en esta época/tiempo de encierro? ¿Te sostienes en Fe declarando que la voluntad de Dios se hace en tu vida y en el mundo? ¿Te sostienes y actúas como hizo Moisés en Egipto (en medio de esclavitud y persecución, plagas…)? Heb 11:27.

Tenemos la bendiciòn y oportunidad ¡como nunca antes! de emular no sólo a Pablo, sino a todos nuestros hermanos quienes nos precedieron y actuaron sosteniéndose firmes con Fe. Hebreos 11:33-34:

“…que por fe conquistaron reinos, hicieron justicia, alcanzaron promesas, taparon bocas de leones, apagaron fuegos impetuosos, evitaron filo de espada, sacaron fuerzas de debilidad, se hicieron fuertes en batallas, pusieron en fuga ejércitos extranjeros...”

Este tiempo de encierro pasará, pero la Palabra de Dios y quienes hagamos Su voluntad permanecerán. Is. 40:8, 1 Ped. 1:24-25, Prov 12:7, Is 66:22
